Vision & Mission
Reaching Hearts, Changing Lives
Reliant upon God's teaching, Shepherd's Heartbeat aims to provide a helping hand to vulnerable and marginalized boys and girls in Liberia.
SHEPHERD'S HEARTBEAT is the culmination of a lifelong vision of its founder and President Clarice P. Richards. God gave Ms. Richards the purpose of aiding children left vulnerable and/or destitute by circumstances beyond their control. Through Shepherd's Heartbeat, Ms. Richards hopes to identify children living in Liberia who are in need and provide them with the necessary assistance.
Shepherd's Heartbeat will primarily engage in educational support for vulnerable social groups and undertake multiple projects in Liberia. For example, Shepherd's Heartbeat is a faith-based collaborative project aimed at supporting marginalized children in Liberia through economic, emotional, and social support, including education. Initially, Shepherd's Heartbeat will focus on children already residing at the Judith Craig Children's Village of the United Methodist Church, but over time, through community outreach, the goal is to reach other vulnerable children.
Above all else, Shepherd's Heartbeat will guide these children with the tools necessary for their spiritual, emotional, and physical development.
John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing.
